1. Demonstrate Quality Performance
Applicants can demonstrate quality performance in one of two ways:
QOPI - Applicants can abstract charts for the QOPI Certification Pathway Track during a QOPI round and submit an Overall Quality Score of 75% or greater.
SmartLinQ Pathways - Applicants can use the CancerLinQ® SmartLinQ™ QOPI Certification Pathway to automatically track and submit an Overall Quality Score (55% or greater) for pathway measures
2. Submit Application
The QOPI Certification Application is available after applicants demonstrate quality performance through QOPI or the SmartLinQ Pathway. The application consists of a participation agreement, a practice questionnaire, and a payment.
3. Participate in an On-Site Survey
An experienced oncology professional will visit a practice to assess compliance with QOPI Certification Standards through interviews, observation, and medical record reviews.
4. Receive On-Site Survey Report
Applicants will receive an On-Site Survey Report documenting their level of compliance with each certification standard and making recommendations or requirements for improved care. If there are requirements for compliance, practices must work on a plan to address the deficiencies.
5. Receive Certification Decision
Once a practice is fully compliant with QOPI Certification Standards, the practice is awarded QOPI Certification.
